Shower and Tub Updates

Tub to shower conversions

We pull out the tub you never use and build a walk-in tile shower in the same space. Usually it feels bigger than the tub ever did.

Walk-in shower with green vertical tile, white penny tile floor, wood-lined niche and frameless glass where an old tub used to be

What is included

Tub removal

The tub and its surround come out and get hauled away.

New drain and pan

We move the drain and build a sloped, waterproofed shower floor.

Tile walls and niche

Floor to ceiling tile with a built-in niche for bottles.

Frameless glass

A glass panel or door instead of a curtain, measured to fit.

A good fit if

  • Nobody has used the tub in years
  • Stepping over the tub wall is getting harder
  • You want a bigger shower in the same footprint
  • Another bathroom in the house already has a tub

Questions we hear

Will removing my tub hurt resale?

It can if it is the only tub in the house. If we think you should keep one, we will tell you at the walkthrough.

Can the new shower have a low or no curb?

Often, yes. A low curb is simple. A fully curbless entry needs the floor recessed, which we can price as an option.
